Mark is the Fourth Vice-President of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's Northwest District. He previously served several ministries, including as a campus pastor who served the University of Kansas.
Ms. Kathy Schweer, Vice-Chair
Kathy is a retired nurse educator who had teaching and/or administrative roles at the University of Iowa, Coe College (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), Mankato (Minnesota) State University, and Allen College (Waterloo, Iowa). Her many leadership positions have included President of Iowa City Old Capitol Kiwanis and the Iowa East District President of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Mr. Brian Rickert, Secretary
Brian is a lawyer with the Brown Winick Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa, and has nearly 20 years' experience practicing law. He helped Transforming Campus Ministries incorporate in 2010 and serves as its registered agent.
Rev. Mark Frith, Treasurer
Mark is Vice President, Ministry Support for Lutheran Church Extension Fund, serving the Central Region. His experience in ministry includes having been on staff with Lutheran Hour Ministries, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's Kansas District, and Senior Pastor for two congregations.
Mr. Lee Kucker
After a career in genetics research, Lee has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. He, and his wife Mary Louise, helped in founding a ministry in Kenya and now serve on the National Leadership Council for Lutheran Hour Ministries.
Rev. Greg Fairow, Executive Director
Greg also serves as the Executive Director and Campus Pastor of Lutheran Ministry at Arizona State University. His previous campus ministry experience includes service as a campus pastor in Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., and Portland, Ore.
Mr. Bruce Wurdeman, Board of Directors Chair emeritus
Bruce, who is retired, was the Executive Director of Lutheran Hour Ministries, St. Louis, a Christian outreach ministry supporting churches worldwide. Bruce previously filled a variety of ministry roles, including Director of Campus Ministry for the North Dakota District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Dr. Bill Hoyt, Board of Directors emeritus
Bill is the president of NexStep Coaching and Consulting, Costa Mesa, California, which specializes in organizational development and leadership effectiveness.
Ms. Denise Fries
Denise is the owner of Fries Financial Services, Bryan, Texas. She has completed a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Texas A&M University's Bush School to enhance her involvement with the charitable organizations that she is passionate about.
